21:49 Hrs. Tuesday February 18th, GFD & Mutual Aid companies were dispatched to the 800-Blk of Herrs Ridge Rd in Cumberland Twp for a house fire. Asst. Chief 1 (Blocher) arrived with smoke showing and confirmed a working fire and all occupants accounted for. E1-2 w/4 (Captain W. Kuntz), responded moments after dispatch, arrived as the 1st due Engine and assigned as Fire Attack. Crews made a quick aggressive attack on the fire, limiting the damage & fire spread to the 1st floor and garage area of the home. Additional arriving companies secured a water supply, performed ventilation, salvage and overhaul. Asst Chief 1 held the Command until the arrival of Deputy Chief McGonigal. No civilian or firefighter injuries reported. Crews operated for over 2 hrs. The fire remains under investigation.
